Best Answer:
It's just a bit of minor constipation due to the fact that baby moving down in your pelvis. You might have moved from -3 to -1. Don't dwell on the pre-labor symptoms too much, you'll drive yourself crazy.
When you start getting contractions that are so painful you can't even stand to be touched, not even for a gentle back massage ... that's the beginning of labor. Nothing you experience before indicates that labor is starting - no matter what anybody says! You absolutely won't know until you start to be in serious pain and you can no longer move around or do or think of anything else while the contraction is happening. Before then, the body is just practicing.
I know it's discouraging. I've had 4 kids. Your mind is solely focused on when labor will begin right now. But most babies go a little overdue, and there is no hospital on the planet that will admit you until you start having heavy duty contractions that are close together. It's like they say: 'A watched pot never boils.'
If you go past 40 weeks and you're in major discomfort or have a really good reason to want to help kick start your labor, you can take 3 teaspoons of castor oil in a glass of pepsi (not orange juice!). Never more than 3 teaspoons or you'll just get very sick and have awful diahhorea. It won't harm the baby in any way. Epidurals and pitocin are far more dangerous, and even they're considered "safe." And it won't work unless your baby is getting to be overdue. Try it too early and you'll put yourself into labor only to have it stop again - and THAT could cause your baby distress.
Good luck and congratulations! Either way you'll have that baby sometime in the next two weeks :*)

It's probably from the pressure of the baby, constipation, or both.

It could be early signs of labor. When I went into labor I kept going into the bathroom because I swore I had to go. Start watching for contractions, good luck :)

I had the same problem. So my Doctor told me to drink a lot of prune juice. And it kind of work.

For me just before i go into labor my bowl movements are very loose but that may just be me, is your baby's head engaged, if it is it may be pressure from the baby pushing down on your bowls or you could be constipated. try some fresh fruit juices or fruit and see if that helps.
Good Luck!

Thats labor... you are having contractions! I've never been through labor (currently pregnant with my first) but I have read about it and that sounds exactly like some of the descriptions I have read about.
