hello im 39 weeks pregnant and today i had alot of bowel movements and it feels like i have to go.....?

it feels like i have to go all the time and i have alot of pressure in my pelvic area feels like it's broken...could this be a sign labor will happen in a day or so???

More than likely, yes. For about 3 days before I went into labor, I was nauseous and had diahrrea. My body was purging itself. I even threw up a few times, most likely from the hormones. Congratulations and good luck!! NO, she is not almost a month overdue. A pregnancy is 40 weeks. You aren't usually considered overdue until about 41, because determining when you actually got pregnant isn't an exact science.

Could be. I had very frequent and soft bowel movements in the hours leading up to labor with each of my kids. Joyous birthing vibes to you!!!!!

It very well could be the baby may be working it's way down into the birth canal maybe you should go in and have them check to see if you are dialating and let you know how dialated you are. Good Luck Congratulations on the new baby!

your water would break before you feel all the pressure

During early stages of birth (1-3 and 3-6 cm) I felt like I had to have a bowel movement, it is the baby into position for birth and pushing against bowels. It definately sounds like early stages of labor to me. Good luck.

Yes, I would say it's labor. I have 7 children and each time had lots of bowel movements at the beginning of my labor. It's nature's way of cleaning you out so the baby has more room to get through the birth canal. Good luck!!! and remember to keep breathing through the contractions!!!

Yes, it could be the early signs of labor, you should call your dr and probably get checked. You could be starting to dilate. Good luck to you!!!

It's not uncommon to have those problems. The baby may be dropping or it could have just shifted its weight. It happened to my wife often. My daughter sat still about the same then as she does now

yes, almost all women experience this before the onset of labor, its actually the most over looked sign that labor is starting..it can be hours or days now for you,..good luck!! I'm sure everything will go great!!

yes. it is common that the hormones you experience before labor relax your bowels and it is likely you will have the baby soon.. Not only that, but as the baby gets into position and begins to drop it puts a lot of pressure that results in an increase in BM. *** also, sometimes (like when I had my first babies) the urge to push and crowning felt a lot like the need to go to the bathroom I wouldn't be the least surprised if you had the baby within next 24 hours. best wishes

It could be... Because you are feeling so much pressure, it is probable that your baby's head is engaged. If this is your first baby, this is a good sign. If this is not your first baby, it is unusual for engagement to occur so soon but not necessarily abnormal. The discomfort can sometimes be relieved by relaxing with your hips elevated on pillows, or any position where your shoulders are lower than your hips. There is not a lot you can do when walking or going about your daily activities. Some women get some relief from maneuvering their babies manually, shifting them from one side to another. Sometimes a sling anchored around your shoulders, supporting the lower abdomen is helpful, but sometimes there is not much you can do to increase your comfort. Hope this was helpful. GOOD LUCK....

My advice to you is to call an advice nurse at the hospital that can tell you more about whats happening good luck!

Talk to your doctor or go in. If you feel like you have to go bad and nothing is coming out call 911 or go to the hospital IMEDIATELY! Pushing out a baby feels exactly like taking a big giant poo...Not guaranteeing anything but you could also be in labor and not have enough room for the baby to get through hence the pain. I had to be induced for my first because I was 6cm dialated and had had NO pain not even braxton hicks contraction at ALL. So it IS possible to have labor and not have pain until the end. Does your family have a history of quick births? If so go get checked asap. at the hospital if you have to. More than what we have to say just follow your gut! If it doesn't feel serious usualy it's not. If you're feeling intensly anxious or just freaking DISPITE all our answers then go go go!

Yeah....with my first pregnancy that happened to me....I had baby the same night....good luck, I wish you well, and the main advice I give you is, when they're telling you to focus on breathing, etc, shut them out and focus on the fact that you will soon be holding your baby.
